Ben Myers used to be on top of the world. His hit song “Two Hearts Run” put him there. Unable and unwilling to repeat that level of success,
Ben’s life has been one steady downward spiral ever since.
Kidney failure lands Ben in the hospital, and while being tended to, Ben is approached by the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Enter Ricky, a 12-year old kid who is dying of heart failure, and his only wish…to hear Ben Myers sing live.
Ben is touched by the request, but because he hasn’t sung in years, Ben is unwilling to sing for Ricky.
Nurse Dylan, who is caring for Ben, becomes unrelentless in her pursuit to convince Ben to make Ricky’s dream wish come true.
A relationship develops with Ben and Nurse Dylan, and Ben finally decides to meet Ricky.
Ben’s life is never the same again.
Despite facing certain death, Ricky is a pillar of strength. Ben instantly learns many valuable lessons from him.
And one big shocker – Nurse Dylan is Ricky’s mother! A bond is soon formed between the boy whose life is quickly ending and the singer who has given up on life altogether.
Because of unfortunate past relationships, Nurse Dylan and Ben are hesitant to dive into love. However, with angelic nurturing and a little prodding from Ricky - Dylan
and Ben soon form a loving relationship of their own.
As Ricky’s condition continues to decline, so does Ben’s. And despite the fact a donor has been found for Ben, he decides not to go through with the kidney transplant.
Finally gaining the courage, Ben decides he will surprise Ricky by reuniting his band and sing the song for Ricky. However, Ben’s tactics leave something to be desired,
as Ben sneaks Ricky out of the hospital (and off his cardiac support) to bring him to the studio to hear Ben sing – and of course, much to the chagrin of Dylan.
Despite this trauma, Ricky is now a fulfilled and happy being.
Sadly, the end of his life is drawing near. Dylan learns her biggest lesson. Thus, she makes her final plea to convince Ben to not give up on his own life,
“Hasn’t Ricky taught you anything?” The only thing that can get Dylan through the loss of her son is love. And perhaps this same love will be enough to convince Ben
to do the right thing...

Life always has downturns, and we don't face them seriously until we are in front of the true reality, given we don't recognize them at first.
But that is unavoidable. The burden is in us, and we don't know how we can face it, some people are not able to overcome, but you can.
Your mission, you have it, survival is your mission, and there is a chance, it's only up to you, wake up! You can be a protagonist again.

A NOTE FROM THE WRITER:
I worked with G.B. Leighton on my first feature film, “Sliding Home” (AKA: “The Marksmen”). What struck me about the lead singer, Brian, was his emotional intensity.
The story was in his eyes...and in his songs. Having written over 13 screenplays, TWO HEARTS RUN was by far the easiest to write in terms of content, and by far the most
difficult in terms of emotion. TWO HEARTS RUN touches the emotion in all of us.
